![]() ![]() MOBZync works on Windows XP/Vista/7 and comes in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Pick whatever option you prefer and click ‘Sync’ and it will get to work! so this creates a filelist of folder than i did the same on my second folder which is gonna be compared. With comp i had some problems so i found another solution by using : dir D:\Projects\Comparison\YourFolder\ > D:\Projects\Comparison\filelist-you.txt. Your options consist of copying newer over older files, older over newer files, ignore changed or modified files from process, delete unchanged files, and choose different actions over added files. This is just another way to do it for those who might have problems with comp command. Compare and Synchronize Lite (CSL) is an utility that lets recursively compare of multiple folders side-by-side, and synchronize folders contents. If you decide to use the ‘Sync’ option you will be prompted to specify extra sync options and get preview of the sync operation according to the set parameters. ![]() Next to Compare, you have options to copy files from left to right side and vice versa, and to sync both folders. You will then need to click ‘Compare’ to find the missing files in the listed folders. In order to enable this feature simply launch the application and specify both source (backup) and target folder path. Many enticing options that are useless because it wont access any of your files or folders. I mean, it doesnt even show any files, and there are hundreds in each folder. MOBZync’s pleasantly simple graphical interface also allows you to setup synchronization between the two folders you are comparing. Beyond Compare can be used to compare both files and folders. It may be easier to understand by reviewing the screenshot below: I need to add that folder comparison command to a batch file. Use your favorite search engine to locate these. If I use Beyond Compare or such tool to compare the folders, it is taking a lot of time if I do it manually. There are tons of free and shareware file comparison utilities available. Another cool feature about this program is it if it finds the same folder on each location it then compares them to see which one is newer and marks it the color green, and the older folder will be marked red. I want to compare two folders on Windows (Vista, XP) which have large number of huge files. Files that are located in one folder, but not the other are marked with the color purple, while files that are in both folders are black. It also color codes the files that are found to be duplicates. ![]() So after a few minutes with Google Search I discovered MOBZync, which displays any two folders and their contents side-by-side, showing you what is different. I now wanted to compare the two hard drives to see the differences between them so I can could merge all the data to one hard drive with out have duplicate copies, or having to manually sift through every file and folder. Well it turns out I looked everywhere for this drive a few months earlier, couldn’t find it so I had purchased a new one. The other day I was cleaning out my closet (I’m sorry momma) and I found a hard drive that I have used in the past for backing up various PC’s around my house. ![]()
